The Giving Gertie is a reusable cloth bag. Inside you'll find a chocolate bar, a protein bar, a Tim Horton's gift card, and a disposable mask. This bag is to be given out to anyone in need.
How to Give:
1. Give out the Giving Gerties: Receive the Giving Gertie bags that you purchase and give them to people in need in your community OR give them to friends and family as a gift that keeps on giving- so they can give the bags to people in need in their community. Contactless pick up is available.
2. Pay-It-Forward: Sponsor someone else to give out a Giving Gertie. Buying Pay-It-Forward Giving Gerties is a great way to help give, even if you are unable to hand out the Giving Gerties yourself.
When a Giving Gertie is given out, a connection is made between both people. There is a communal sense of shared humanity, compassion, and gratitude. The exchange is often empowering and beautiful and is the essence of the not for profit Giving Gertie.
